#754 - Food As Motivation #46 - Windowsill Pies

Remember my previous entry which I said I ate a lot? I wasn't kidding. This was my third stop for that day, Windowsill Pies.

刚好 it was also located in Lavender so we headed there after that.

We ordered 2 pies to share.

Grasshopper Slice (Some mint chocolate thing) (SGD7.50) / Strawberry Lemon Slice (SGD7)

I love both the pies! Equally good.

I don't really like mint flavoured food so I was surprised this mint one tasted good. And I like the torched merigue part of the Strawberry Lemon slice.

Just chilling while it pours outside. Looking at my hair and I am so so glad I went for soft rebonding. Hahaha.

LOL.

I will definitely be back for the other flavours. :)

And I love the ambience there too. Nice to sit and talk with your friends over some pies yea.

Anyway, I said I ate a lot that day right. So yeah, after that, Yuhui left and then Zac and I went to get LlaoLlao. And then we had Astons for dinner and... I had Double chicken leh. Wts. Eat and eat and eat. Food4eva wtf.

#753 - Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee / The Tiramisu Hero

Brace yourselves, for food. entries are coming hahaha. Intending to clear them so I can start on my Taiwan's trip.

This was in December where I met my ex-colleagues at IMM for catching up session. I ate a lot that day. 

Here's like only part one of three where we met at Kin Kin Chilli Pan Mee for lunch. The place which is known for Kin Kin Pan Mee was situated at Tai Seng, an industrial area and you'd have to walk a little bit down to get to it. It was not really a big area and was air-conditioned. I expected queues but we were there at around 12 and there were only 5-6 people? Shock. And I saw my uncle there. Double shock.

Signature Dry Chili Pan Mee (SGD5)

You control the amount of chili you want and the photo above this noodles' photo show the 2 different kinds of chili.

Really dry but I like the noodles' texture. The scallions quite 香 too, but the portion was rather small.

Fishball & Meatball You Mian (SGD5)

My friend had this and she commented that she rather eat the fishball noodles at the foodcourt near her house. LOL.

All in all, I think this noodles didn't really wow me. To think people would gladly queue for it? I wouldn't. I'd rather go eat the hawker centre's ban mian or something. Unless there are no queue, and you need a quick noodle fix when near Tai Seng area, don't bother coming here. :X So mean but true. Maybe can spend the money on the prata shop next to it LOL.

One day I hope to try the real deal in KL.

We decided to find somewhere to chill and ended up at Lavender where we headed towards The Tiramisu Hero. Wanted to check this off my F.A.M. list.

MOMMAHERO in Original and Lemon Lavender (SGD7.50 each)

I prefer the latter one. Coffee is not my thing, although there is a reason why this place is called Tiramisu Hero and I still came here.

The tiramisu weren't cold at all, and that was a pity.

There was no GST (probably included) but there was 10% service charge. I remembered ordering at the cashier and pouring water from jugs myself though. /: Meh.

Heard quite a number of good reviews though so maybe I will be back for their food next time. So for now, not adding it under F.A.M. yet. Hahaha.

And to end it off, I took a photo with the famous Sir Antonio head. :D

Had to paiseh-ly ask someone if he could shift his seat over to other side a little so I could take this. He looked irritated but... this is their 招牌 what. Why you go block people from taking photo there hahaha.

#687 - Meet Ups / Updates

My life has been revolving around work due to IA and my #moneyasmotivation determination, so I am glad I could still find time to meet up with friends!

Wasn't kidding about the pretty night view.

Monday was a slightly more serious one, where all of us going Korea had dinner at Astons' and then discussed about Korea's accommodations and flights.

Wednesday was K-session with MSE bunch again. Fun and crazy times, the photos speak for themselves. :D

Happy night, glad I brought along my camera, also glad everyone was cooperative and in the mood to take photos HAHA!

 And on Monday I met Raine for dinner and then we walked for like 2 hours plus around the neighbourhood, htht as usual plus discussing ideas for some plan we have! Looking forward to it coming true! ^^

Fruitful 2 weeks it has been.

And also a pocket burning one, but nevermind!

 Next 2 weekends chionggggg, gonna be a Sunsilk girl again hahaha. Thanks Raine! (Y)

Oh and I went to do the Lotte Chocoball challenge one random day while watching 步步惊心!

So basically you shake this for 30 minutes and the biscuits inside will become a ball. I was curious and wanted to try it for myself too! Daddy says this kind 骗小孩子 one. LOL, so I was determined to prove him wrong!

On another note, I am on my 12th set of braces already (opted for lilac and pink this time), this means after this, it will be a year of wearing braces. Time flies!
Oh and the orthodontist extended my braces as well for the top row. The last brackets usually end at the second last teeth for both sides, but she extended the brackets to the last two teeth. I wonder why...

Have since stopped my #ootd because I've repeated a few / mix the same pieces here and there / lazy to take.

#673 - Updates / Food As Motivation #35 - Five & Dime Eatery

First day of work, loads of time wasted, not that I am complaining and we get to go off early today too BUT I really hate to wait okay! Actually I hate waiting or having people wait for me lahh!

Probably gonna be updating my daily musings and nonsensical stuff on Dayre so do follow okay!! And I do follow back, unless you are unactive lah. :) If you are too lazy to get one, can also read online to 捧场 haha.

That being said, I got another new widget on the side of my blog, askfm! Used to have formspring one till it closed down the other time! Now I am back with another one. In case anyone has any questions to ask regarding my blog or whatever, you can just ask away k! :) Trying to make things more convenient for some who wanna ask but are lazy to comment hahaha. Those nothing to ask can also read lah if you kpo, although I doubt there will be interesting questions posted. Or even any questions posted in the first place haha.

Moving on.. Clearing my last few F.A.M. entries!

Met up with my ex-workmate on the second day of 2014! :)

We went for F.A.M. that day and spent the evening watching Frozen!

I blogged on my Dayre about this old man cheating her of $1.50, and I am gonna copy paste the chunk here.

I met Yuhui at Redhill because we wanted to bus to Five & Dime Eatery for brunch. Was so late ahhh and she got cheated by this old ahpek. He claimed that he only has fifty cents on him and needs $1.50 more to take the bus home so my friend being hao xin ren gave him the money. End up.... we saw that he went around asking 弱女子 also for money. Wtheck. Then they zao alr and he smiled to himself. I wanna be 正义英雄 and like expose him in front of those cheated ones, BUT I scared lolol. So I only gave him stares. Mehh. Guess he knows though, he didn't once approach me for money! But hais. Why like this. So many conman nowadays uh...

Eggs Benny (SGD16)

This was pretty bad, both of us didn't really enjoy it. The fruits don't taste like themselves but instead had this citrusy taste. The potatoes were average. As for the main highlight, the eggs were well poached, however the hollandaise sauce was really bad. I couldn't taste the buttery fragrance at all. All we tasted was the strong lemon juice in it. 

I believe that to have perfect Eggs Benedict, the eggs and the hollandaise sauce are the two most important factors. Thus this was certainly pretty bad. I guess the yummiest thing on the plate was the cherry tomatoes. For real.

Mentaiko Pasta (SGD18)

I love this! It was salty enough for my liking and one can never say no to mentaiko! I love the creamy richness of this! :) Makes me miss Mussel Mentai from Nihon Mura. I am so gonna get the mentaiko sauce if I happened to chance upon it in Japanese supermarkets man.

Oh the waiters/waitresses here are all very goodlooking. Especially the waiters of course. *.* They kept helping me refill water! Such nice service too.

Took another bus down and head for Bugis when we then trained to Braddell for icecream and waffles! That's for another entry another day but in the meantime, I shall share and end this entry with some photos of us or they'd never see the light hahaha. :)
That being said, my hair ain't that long anymore now and I have already dyed the roots too!
