#655 - Updates

The past few weeks have been crazy and it doesn't stop here.
Next few weeks all the way till finals are gonna be so packed with academic activities I don't even want to think about it!
Time flies so fast and it's already October!
Very soon finals will come omgggg! :O

It's pretty hard to find time to meet up with friends and I feel bad for always rejecting them because of projects and CAs, but thankfully all of them understand! :)
This is also why I hardly have time to blog!

That being said, I spent my lunch/dinner time watching The Heirs (Lee Minho and Park Shin Hye *.*) and I am like fangirling over them! ^^

Digging the phone for photos to upload, usually they are taken but somehow not uploaded onto Instagram in the end... so I guess I shall let them see the light?

A rather out of focus photo of the platter all of us ordered at Nando's the other week!
Only nice food there is the garlic bread hahaha.

Starbucks Salted Caramel Mocha
New drink and the only thing I love is the salted caramel on top hahahaha.
The mocha was too bitter for me!

Speaking of Starbucks, I bought a Starbucks card yesterday at Bishan CC's outlet.
That outlet was pretty cosy BUT super freaking cold. I think I froze there. O.O
And I also tried a new drink, Dark Chocolate Mocha Frappe (that's how my friend calls it), I supposed it's the same as the Dark Mocha Java Chip? No idea but it was gooooooooood! :D

This was taken at NIE after my badminton elective! Can you see the moooooon?
And I love how the houses at the back were surrounded with trees.
Remind me of Santorini, although Santorini have houses which are NOT surrounded with trees.
Lol, am I even making sense?

Char Kway Teow from 91 Fried Kway Teow Mee Stall at Golden Mile Food Centre.
This was one of the Top 5 CKT must-try place and I had it like 2 years ago.
Tasted better then, I guess the standard has dropped! :/

I went to ICA before that to collect my passport! YAY! :D

La Mian with Pork Dumplings in Hot Chili Sauce
This was introduced by May and it was yummy even though it was still really spicy when I requested for 少辣! :X
Next time we go eat again, May!!

Okay, what's an entry without my face in it right!!!!
Mum was so willing to camwhore one day with me so here's a photo of us! :D

Okay, I guess this update shall suffice and I will be back sooooon! :)

#654 - Updates

Erm... So I realise my entries are pretty much about food and many people are having the misconception that I've been eating good food a lot a lot recently which is not very true because most of the food entries are backdated ones and spreaded over a great period of time....
That being said, I still have a lot more not yet posted lolol.

But anyway the main point of this entry is that since there's less of my face already now that food has taken over the territory, Imma post some photos of my face up HAHAHA.

Speaking of Imma, I've seen so many people using Imma as I am a. -_-
"Imma happy girl." Omgggg!
Seriously... Imma means I am gonna/I am going to, please get this right!

Taken on Tuesday after finishing our Tech Comm's experiment which was a rather successful one! :)

And this one is still fresh! Photo taken yesterday when we celebrated the September Babies' birthdays!

And yes, I've got emerald coloured braces now! On my 7th set already!
They are starting to hurt like a bitch but I ain't complaining!

Okay lahh, what's an entry with no food inside right? :P
Bak Kut Teh for late dinner on Thursday! :D

Didn't really do much reviews on this shop except it opens till quite late and we wanted BKT!
Fragrant soup with just the right amount of peppery taste (I cannot stand strong peppery taste one).
But after the refills which were free, the peppery taste kind of got to me. :/
And I actually ate all the meat by myself!!! Hahaha it was so tender and salty enough for my liking so yayy!
Love the salted vegetables and youtiao too! ^^

And the other day I had Paradise Dynasty colourful XLBs with May at ION Orchard!
Unlike the branch at Lot One which I tried last year (entry here), this outlet has all the flavours!
Got to say the original one tastes better than many of the rest and I think the Cheese, Ginseng, Garlic and Sichuan were not that bad as well. :)

#653 - Food As Motivation #29 - Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King

Ramen Keisuke Tonkotsu King has always been one of the top few recommended must-go ramen restaurants in Singapore and of course, I MUST go and see for myself if it was worth it! :P

Le cousie and I were craving for ramen and I wanted to slurp something thus we ended up here on a Saturday afternoon. :)

I have heard about long queues outside the restaurants but thankfully we were lucky to get seats within minutes! The place was rather small with little walkable space and definitely not a place where you can slowly devour your ramen and have long chats with your friends!

It really gives off a Japanese feel, with posters in Japanese words pasted all over the place and a small counter at the corner.

The tables were rather small and seats were all cramped together.
Our table was like 3/5 filled with all the above condiments yada yada.

There wasn't really a menu and we were given each a slip of paper to order what we want.

Opted for the Tonkotsu Ramen Special which is supposedly the most popular among the rest!
I like how you can control how you want the ramen to be!
I had Strong, Normal, Normal for the 3 choices above respectively! :)

Each of us were given this to grind the sesame seeds, so that we can add into our soup and make it fragrant!

There were free flow hard boiled eggs (WHY NO AJITSUKE TAMAGO, I sure spam like crazy one lor!!) and bean sprouts which tasted like those in Korean side dish!

Unlike other ramen restaurants in Singapore, the ramen was served in minutes and I was impressed.

Tonkotsu Ramen Special (SGD14.80)
The soup arrived piping hot and it was cooked to perfection!
Didn't look like much here but it was filling!
Everything about it was so good (I am craving for it now!!), the meat was huge and tender, the noodles were al-dente, the seaweed complimented the soup which was rather thick and fragrant, the black fungus were soft enough and lastly, the egg was PERFECT. Runny yolk with a very distinct eggy taste. So so yummy, I finished everything up!! (Y)

It's not just one slice okay! I remember eating a lot and it was so gooood! :)

Everyone should come and have a try here man! I think it beats all other ramen restaurants I've tried thus far! Really!!
Anyway, payment is by CASH only!
