#700 - Wedding w Cousins

Hello! My last entry here in Singapore before I fly off to Korea for 5 weeks!
So stoked!

This entry is going to show how I have a copy paste face be just my photos taken w my cousins and I at a cousin's wedding (don't have their photos though)!

Wedding dinner #ootd, le bro said this dress is too big on me, I agree.
And sadly, he had to book in that day, so no one was there to help me snap pretty ootds!

Photos w the parents, we reached too early!
Saw a stretch of houses (those old school metal gates kind) perfect for ootds lahh!

LMZ and I!

With the female cousins present that day, spam alert.
Found out that day Kai Xin is going to Korea for summer studies too, SKKU and... Corporate Communications somemore!
And there's a possibility we might meet each other when touring in Jeju!
What are the odds man! (Y)

Anyway, I really can't help it but to have one default face when smiling. I mean how many kinds of smiles can one have (referring to those w teeth). You mean you choose to reveal less teeth this kind? I don't get it.

Till then, X

#699 - Food As Motivation #39 - Omakase Burger

I figure I'd better clear my backlogs before I fly off to Korea next Thursday!
Excited and nervous at the same time...

Anyway, met w the IPI Ladies (hahaha) for shopping and dinner the other day! It was a good one, was a little down that time and I was glad I could spend some time and take my mind off some things. :)

Grateful to these 2 ladies, they made my stay at IPI a fun one. :)

Even though it's just a short period of 5 months, I felt that I could really open up to them and talk about a lot of things. Maybe it's because I never have close female friends who are older than me (not purposely say y'all old ahh lol) and then they 见过世面 more, so I felt they gave me better advices regarding certain stuff somehow! So thank you! *inserts Thank You with kissing lips sticker*
I will miss those times we spent at the toilet, talking and laughing away / finding interesting/funny things to laugh at / doing stupid stuff *thinks of biting nails and birthday gifts like wasabi* hahaha.

Okay that aside, we had Omakase Burger for dinner!
Went to the new outlet at Wisma Atria.

I had no idea it would burn such a big hole in my wallet, since I thought it was like fast food style so it wouldn't be that expensive. I was wrong.

So anyway here's the food!

Home-made Lemonade (SGD4.60)
I had this, which was pretty good and refreshing and the amount was more than it looked!

Root Beer Float (SGD5.80)
Erm basically canned A&W plus very milky tasting icecream. ._.
Not joking about the canned A&W, when these were being served, there were also remaming rootbeer in A&W cans along w them.

Deluxe Cheeseburger (SGD16.90) / Cheese Fries (SGD6.30)
I love my burger! I thought I ordered the nicest burger among us 3 that day! The buns were soft and fragrant, the beef patty was juicy and the rest of the ingredients (sauteed mushrooms, onions and cheese) really went well w it! (Y)
The cheese fries were served hot and the sauce was similar to LJS's!

Applewood Smoked Bacon Cheeseburger (SGD17.90) / Truffle Fries (SGD7.30)
Erm I had a bite, the bacon tasted normal and a little burnt, the rest was similar to mine. I'd say save your $1 and have the Deluxe Cheeseburger instead, the bacon is not worth it haha.
Truffle Fries were not bad, the truffle taste was strong.

Omakase Chicken Sandwich (SGD14.90)
Erm normal, nothing to shout about. Guess the star is the beef!

So after ordering at the counter, you will be given a beeper and allocated seats. When the beeper starts sounding, you can head over to the counter to collect your food.

Okay, so to mention on the pricing/charges.
Everything is sold at ala-carte prices and they don't have set meals at all.
Say if you want a burger, sides (fries/onion rings) and drink, you have to order them ala-carte and then SGD1.90 will be deducted from your total bill.
They included that segment in the menu 'Save $1.90 per meal' and 'Make any Burger item a full meal and enjoy a discount'! Say until so nice lol. #okaycan

I was a little confused initially too, and before that I had wanted to order an Ultimate Cheeseburger. But I changed my mind because I saw the price for Ultimate Cheeseburger + Cheese Fries + Home-made Lemonade, which went up to $30+. I was literally O.O at the cash register, no way am I paying that amount for fast food (yes it's considered fast food to me).

Would I come back again?
No denying, the beef's good, but to me, it's like yummy fast food at exorbitant prices.
I would, if I am feeling rich, that is.

#698 - Yoogane / Catching Up

Finally found some time to meet up with Raine, lots of catching up to do!
And so we spent Wednesday night filling each other up with the old/latest news hahaha.

Dinner was at Yoogane, the queue was mad mad long, I think we waited for 40mins?!

Chicken Galbi (SGD16.90 per set)
We had two sets of the chicken galbi because no sharing was allowed! :/ And if we were to order 2 sets, they have to be the same one. That's... really sad.

Had some add-ons as well since the chicken galbi only has lots of chicken chunks, vegetables, some potato slices and tteokbokki.

Fried Rice (SGD3.90)

Mozzarella Cheese (SGD3.90)
Kind of expensive I know, but I read that many of them said when the cheese melted in the rice, it's damn good, so we decided to try!

Ramyeon Noodles (SGD3.90)

Free flow side dishes, we only had the kimchi which was quite spicy!

Saw some other customers wearing bibs from the restaurant, not sure if they ran out of bibs but we weren't given any.

Anyway, we didn't have to do anything because there will be waiters/waitresses who will walk around and cook/stir the food for us!

The ramyeon noodles were cooked together with the chicken galbi first and the waiter told us to finish the noodles first and then the rice and cheese will then be cook later.

Results of mixing the cheese and the rice.

To be honest, Yoogane isn't that yummy like I have expected. Why always like that!!!
The cheesy fried rice was okay only, not like super yummy or what. The chicken was just right but nothing to shout about. I like the noodles best overall, I think Raine felt the same too. Hahahaha. Not worth my time queuing!

Hmm, let's just hope if I ever get to try it in Korea, it will not disappoint like the one in Singapore!

Oh, and I think GST is included because they only charged 10% service charge!
