#569 - Happy Mid Autumn Festival

Hey...
I kinda miss those days where I would hang out with my friends/cousins at the parks near my house, carrying our brightly lit paper lanterns (and when I was even younger, lanterns with switches that would play music once switched on) and walking around, searching for empty spots where we would then play with the sparklers or candles and make pretty shapes or words out of them.
Or we'd melt all the candle wax together forming a pool of Paddle pop colours and then carved words on them.
Those paper lanterns which always get dented and the flame always extinguished fast...
So much to remember.
Really nostalgic.

It may seem like nothing much, and perhaps childish but all of us had so much fun then.
There was nothing to worry about (except burning the place perhaps) and the endless joy we had just laughing/smiling away just felt really good.
I don't know.
I just miss those days.

It's hard to get them back anymore, right?
But then again, I am not too old for all these yeah?
Didn't really celebrate Mid Autumn festivals for the past few years though.
My whole family just eats mooncakes.
That's all HAHAHA.

Anyway on average:

A lotus seed paste mooncake contains 716 calories!

A lotus seed paste mooncake with one salted egg yolk has 790 calories!!
If it has two salted egg yolks, that's 890 calories!!!
If it has four salted egg yolks, you're looking at 975 calories!!!!
(Source: x)

Haha I just thought I'd share this.
Because mooncakes are really unhealthy. :P

And yes, I am weird again.
Because I don't really like mooncakes.
People always ask me "How can you not love mooncakes?!"
I just feel it's too sweet and pasty.
Maybe I can comfort myself too, I am stopping myself from consuming those killer calories. Heee. :D

And this used to be one of my favourite food to munch on then.

It's rare to find such biscuits now it seems.
I don't know, it's not like I love the taste of it but I just like it? HAHA.
And I always like when I get to choose the colour of the packaging even though the colour doesn't affect the taste.
Kidssss.
And yes, I used to be a pink lover (shocking news) and thus I will always pick the pink one.
Haha but all of those colour picking, weird tastebud thingy was like during my primary school days lah!

Aiya, I just feel nostalgic LOR.

Happy Mid Autumn Festival to you!
(if anyone bothered reading all the way till here)

PS: What doesn't kill me makes me stronger. Don't think I wanna rant about what I said before anymore.

#568 - Food As Motivation #15 - Ramen Santouka/Outing with Helios

Omg this entry has been rotting in my draft for days and I am finally letting it see the light!
Had been rather busy with school (still as busy but thankfully and hopefully there is recess week to catch up) so I haven't have time to really 'settle' this entry.

And since cramps are making me hard to concentrate on studying (excuses), I figure I'd just blog right now first.
Hopefully my cramps will be gone soon! :)

And so yeah, this whole outing with a few of the Helios peeps happened on the same day I went to watch Step Up 2 and had my F.A.M. trip at Hot Tomato.
Scroll down a little more and you'd see the entry already. :)

After the movie, we headed to The Central to chill.
Walked about a little and then we had dinner at Ramen Santouka.
Yes I am going say the following sentence again, another restaurant striked off my F.A.M. list yayyy. :)

But this time I can't really give the exact details of the food we ordered and its price because I lost my receipt!!
I packed my table and I forgot where I kept it at!
So photos only kayy, if I happen to find the receipt, I will update the prices here!

Those above were ordered by my friends and I only know that the spicy one was not spicy at all and soso only!

A lot of us ordered this set, mixed soup ramen which comes with rice as well so we can like add the rice in the soup and eat it after finishing the ramen!

Oh and the ramen wasn't that nice to be honest.
It kinda tasted like 黄面 and there was this starchy aftertaste. :(
But I love the eggggggg.
The yolk OMG!

Ramen-wise, I have tasted better, will blog about it sooooon! :)

After a rather full meal, we headed out to chill!
Walked along Clarke Quay, sat by the river for a while and enjoyed the breeze.

Super nice and stress free as the wind blew onto our faces.

Then we walked to Esplanade area and listened to some Malay performance (I have no idea why we did that) and then we stopped by the side to take lots of photos!

Here we go! :)

I have long arms! :P

Spammage of photos here onwards because we wanted to take a perfect photo with the MBS in the background!
And partly also I wasn't please with the photo, like a bit blur or some peoples' faces kena blocked and yada.
Everyone was like rahhhhing at me already. D: Heh.

Yes so happy my collar bone quite obvious here, hehee.

Decided to try using the timer mode to take photos instead.

Quite nice right, to have MBS for the background.
This photo would be perfect if not for Zac!

Haha and so all along, I was moving from the camera to the spot time and time again because I wanna get a nice nice shot.

Would have been perfect too if not for the white thing in the foreground. D:

These 2 were the best out of the many already. :)

Towards the end, I gave up and then most of us went high and then we took jumpshots! :)

Oh and look, here's a crazy girl attempting to do a split. *smh* *buries a hole and hides*
Guess she was too high that day.

But with jeans and no proper stretching, her split barely passed...
Not bad, still got people willing to 配合. *squeezes some tears* :')

*inserts a photo of me 2 years ago doing a perfect front split to redeem myself*

Last photo of a happy me jumping and smiling while nobody cares!
If I didn't remember wrongly, they all did that on purpose!
But nevermind, I am happy!!

Till then, X

#566 - Just Some Words

Hey all.
This week zoomed past fast and the weekends are here again! :)

Been a rather boomz week I must say, in a good good way! (Y)
Been long since I can truly say I love my weekdays (well for this week that is)!
Full of surprise(s) (albeit kinda fail, sobs about that but still yay) and happinessssss.

To whom it may concerned, thanks for making this possible. :)

And yes, I am still floating rather safely in my bubble.

***

Have been going low carbs latelyyy!
Well I tried to.
少饭 all the way, even at home!

Just thought I'd update here for fun laughter peace and joy.

Nahh, I kid.
Just want to ayg like this. ;)

Okayy actually I have no idea why I typed that, but recently I feel quite determined to like shed some kilos.
I want to look like my weight.
Been hearing too much of people saying I don't look like my weight or I am too heavy for my height (1.57m, round up 1.6m hehehe).
That's quite sad but nevermind, they are my 推动力!

And I also kind of got 'inspired' by some bloggers or friends who lose weight tremendously and still look good.
Not those san bi ba kind uhh.

So yeah, my goal is to like really slim down till it's quite obvious.
Like you know when you stalk your old friends and go "Wow, this girl lost a lot of weight! I also want!!" kind.
Yeah that's my aim.

I guess it's a little quite hard since I am rather lazy and love food as much as I love Patrick Star, but I am sure, with more determination and looking at more skinny babes photos, I can get myself going?
Right right right?

So far, other than going low carbs, I've stopped eating supper (drank water only) and did (okay this is pathetic but this week was hectic and I couldn't squeeze time out to do so) a set of 15mins intense workout for the abdomen area. *sheepish face*
But better than nothing right!!

I need find time to go for jogs soon too!

My weight has been fluctuating madly though. :/
But whatever it is, I need to slim down areas like face, arms, stomach and calves.
That's nearly everything I know. O.O

Good luck to me.

Anyway, I read this and got a little sad. :(

Running Man is considered a variety show right?

Why Gary oppa whyyyy.
I will miss your peaceful face and your cute voice when saying funny things.
And you with MongJi as the Monday Couple although it ended ages ago.

The only sad news for the week I guess.

#564 - Georgie Lace Dress

Actually this entry has no purpose at all.
Gahh I just wanna whineee. Hee.

One week ago, I instagrammed a dress which I got my eyes on in two different colours.
I love them both and can't decide on which colour to get.

All of the girls chose white while majority of the guys chose black.
Clear difference uh.

While white gives off a pure and demure feel, black makes me look more mature and it's also more formal?

Went to Cotton On online store and apparently this piece is called Georgie Lace Dress.
It's SGD39.95, it's not really THAT worth it?

One week later, and after visiting 2 different branches of Cotton On on different days to try them on again, I left the shop empty handed.

The back of the dress was super loose (you can fit an arm and there's still space), I tried S, XS and even XXS already and it's still loose.
I've no idea whyy.
Maybe my 前面不够大?:(

Haha in other words, no fate with this dress and I don't have to 头痛 about getting which colour!
But still, I really really love the cut of this dress lehhhh..

Update: I saw a dress at OhVola somewhat similar to this dress!
SGD26.50!

Should I get it??? :D
